6" Mum

Fall mums bring a fresh burst of color to porches, patios, and garden beds as the season turns. Their rounded, leafy shape and abundance of blooms make them an easy way to refresh an entryway or fill a sunny border. Choose a favorite color or group several together for a cheerful autumn display.

• Colors: A variety of colors available; selection varies with current stock
• Light: Full sun for the best flowering
• Bloom Time: Late summer into fall, depending on variety and stage of bloom
• Growth Habit: Compact, rounded flowering plants; finished size varies by variety
• Available Size: 6-inch pot
• Type: Perennial (yes, our mums are perennial!)

Keep the soil evenly moist without allowing the pot to sit in standing water. Check containers frequently, since they can dry out quickly, and water the soil rather than the flowers. Remove faded blooms to keep plants looking fresh. For garden planting, choose well-drained soil. Often enjoyed as seasonal color, mums vary in winter hardiness; returning the following year depends on the variety, planting time, and growing conditions.
