Peperomia obtusifolia 'Variegata' - 4" Pot

Glossy leaves with a creamy twist

Peperomia obtusifolia 'Variegata', often called Variegated Baby Rubber Plant, brings cheerful contrast to a small space. Its thick, rounded leaves pair rich green with irregular creamy margins and marbling, creating a polished little display without taking over your tabletop.

Set it near a bright window out of harsh direct sun, and enjoy watching fresh leaves unfold along its sturdy stems. As it branches, this compact plant develops a fuller, softly rounded shape. Its fleshy leaves store moisture, making a little drying time between waterings part of a healthy routine.

• Available Size: 4-inch nursery pot.
• Light: Bright, indirect light helps maintain healthy growth and variegation. Avoid harsh direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.
• Water: Let the top 1–2 inches of potting mix dry before watering thoroughly. Allow excess water to drain, and never leave the pot standing in water. Check the soil rather than watering on a fixed schedule.
• Soil: Use an airy, well-draining potting mix and a container with drainage holes.
• Humidity: Usually comfortable in typical indoor humidity. Keep away from drying vents.
• Temperature: Prefers warm indoor conditions; protect from cold drafts.
• Feeding: Feed lightly with a balanced houseplant fertilizer during active spring and summer growth, following the label directions.
• Growth Habit: Compact and upright when young, becoming fuller and more branched with age. Older stems may gently arch outward. Pinch or prune tips to encourage a bushier shape. Actual growth depends on care and conditions.
• Leaf Color: Green and cream patterns vary naturally from leaf to leaf and plant to plant.
• Pet Note: Considered non-toxic to cats and dogs, though plants are best kept away from curious chewers.

A lovely small-space companion for anyone who enjoys glossy foliage, gentle color contrast, and an easygoing care routine.
